Activities Assistant - Memory Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Activities Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful experiences for seniors in our memory care unit. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and memory care restrictions

- Provide personalized support to residents to ensure they are engaged, motivated, and able to participate in activities

- Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into individual care plans

- Monitor and document residents' participation and progress, adjusting activities as needed

- Create a positive, welcoming environment that encourages socialization and emotional well-being

- Assist with daily care activities as needed to support residents' overall quality of life

- Work flexible hours, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet residents' needs

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience working with seniors, especially in memory care or related settings

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Creativity and enthusiasm in developing engaging activities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' individual needs

- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

- Knowledge of memory care best practices and safety protocols is preferred
