What You’ll Do

The Productions & IT Manager provides reliable, secure and ministry-focused technology across SpringHill. This role leads event production and audiovisual operations while overseeing user support, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems and technology projects.


The manager serves as the primary technology contact for staff and guest groups and stewards audiovisual systems across SpringHill’s auditoriums, dining halls, chapels, amphitheaters, activity areas and mobile event setups.


How You’ll Lead

Productions and A/V Operations

o Lead audiovisual production for summer camp, retreats, guest groups and organizational events.

o Serve as the primary productions contact for guest-group leaders before, during and after events.

o Oversee sound, lighting, video, projection, streaming and presentation systems.

o Maintain production equipment, inventories, documentation and replacement plans.

o Coordinate production calendars, event requirements, room setups and technical rehearsals.

o Manage vendors and contractors for installations, repairs and major audiovisual projects.

o Partner with Program and Guest Services teams to create effective, engaging session experiences.

Team Leadership and Development

o Recruit, interview and hire seasonal photo, video and A/V team members in partnership with HR and program leadership.

o Develop and lead onboarding, technical training, and role-specific preparation for all seasonal productions staff.

o Supervise, schedule and support the photo, video and A/V teams, along with occasional A/V and photography specialists.

o Establish clear expectations, workflows, safety standards and measures of success for each team.

o Build a culture of servant leadership, spiritual growth, collaboration, creativity and technical excellence.

o Coach seasonal staff through regular feedback, one-on-one meetings, evaluations and increasing levels of responsibility.

o Identify and develop leaders who can serve as team leads, mentor peers and return in future seasons.

o Create opportunities for team members to grow in both technical skills and leadership capability.

o Maintain appropriate staffing plans for summer camp, retreats, guest groups and special events throughout the year.

Information Technology Operations

o Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding, offboarding and helpdesk support.

o Oversee computers, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, phones, file storage and backups.

o Maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, patching, access management and incident-response procedures.

o Administer technology vendors, software licenses, domains, DNS and cloud services.

o Support security-camera, gate-access and related operational systems.

o Maintain technology policies, system documentation and business-continuity plans. 

o Coordinate hardware and software purchasing, deployment, maintenance and lifecycle replacement.

o Provide staff training and clear self-service technology resources.CRM & Data Management

Systems and Project Management

o Lead infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, server modernization and systems integrations.

o Support administration and improvement of Salesforce and other key business platforms.

o Partner with departments to identify needs and develop practical technology solutions.

o Prioritize projects according to ministry impact, security, reliability and available resources.

o Track system performance, service requests, project progress and recurring technology issues.

o Develop annual budgets and long-term capital plans for IT and productions.

o Departments experience technology as a practical partner in accomplishing ministry goals.

Requirements

  

What We Are Looking For

o Commitment to SpringHill’s mission, values and faith-centered culture.

o Five or more years of experience in IT operations, audiovisual production or a comparable combined technology role.

o Demonstrated experience with live sound, lighting, video and presentation systems.

o Working knowledge of networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, endpoint management and cybersecurity.

o Experience supporting users and translating technical information for nontechnical audiences.

o Strong project-management, troubleshooting and organizational skills.

o Experience supervising staff, volunteers, vendors or contractors.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities during high-volume camp and retreat seasons.

o Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience or relevant technical certifications preferred.

o Availability for occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules.

Physical Demands

Physical demands include walking across a large camp property, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, reaching, working from elevated positions, sitting or standing for extended periods and operating audiovisual and computer equipment. The employee must frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
