Bookkeeper
Description

The Treasury Bookkeeper will support the Company's treasury and accounting functions by recording daily cash activity, processing payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliations, and maintaining organized records of debt and lender activity. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accurate movement, recording, and reporting of cash across multiple bank accounts and financing facilities.


The individual will work closely with the Treasurer and broader finance team to support daily treasury operations and keep financial records accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness are critical.


Essential Responsibilities 


Treasury Operations & Cash Management

  • Monitor daily cash balances across multiple operating and financing accounts.
  • Process and monitor daily cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Coordinate wire transfers, ACH transactions, and internal cash movements.
  • Prepare daily cash position reports for executive management.
  • Assist with gathering data for short-term cash forecasting.
  • Maintain banking portals and payment templates.
  • Assist with opening, maintaining, and closing bank accounts.
  • Support banking relationship administration and documentation.
  • Monitor positive pay, ACH filters, and other banking controls.
  • Investigate and resolve banking exceptions and rejected transactions.

Bank Reconciliations

  • Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all corporate accounts.
  • Research and resolve reconciling items.
  • Work with accounting personnel to clear outstanding reconciling differences.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations.
  • Ensure reconciling items are resolved promptly.

Cash Recordkeeping

  • Record daily cash activity within the general ledger.
  • Record routine journal entries related to treasury activity, with guidance from the accounting team.
  • Reconcile cash accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with routine month-end close tasks related to cash and debt.
  • Support preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications Preferred

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, banking, or treasury operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles, including debits and credits.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience preparing bank reconciliations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with banking portals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
