Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan health and safety program protocols
- Work with HR Manager to determine Risk Management and Safety initiatives
- Educate supervisors, managers and other leaders in the organization about health and safety standards
- Coordinate and lead safety training sessions to all employees and ensure new and annual safety training is completed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Verify employees are consistently following safety protocols
- Analyze health and safety data
- Maintain and post required OSHA log postings
- Conduct and participate in regular safety inspections and audits at all locations
- Develop and maintain accurate records to include training, inspections, and incident reports to provide safety metrics to support safety program initiatives
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with HR Manager on Worker’s Compensation claims and injury/illness data to improve safety metrics
- Monitor and ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct and coordinate safety drills
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies during safety inspections and audits
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related issues and concerns
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety coordinator or similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards
- Certification in First Aid and CPR

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of safety management software
- Ability to train and educate employees on safety standards and best practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and function as part of a team
- Proof of insurance and valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record

- Ability to navigate various work environments indoors and outdoors
- Exposure to airborne particles and fumes
