Description

The Cutter Operator is responsible for accurately cutting printed trading card sheets, memorabilia materials, and specialty components according to production specifications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, precision cutting skills, and the ability to maintain strict quality standards while meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cutting equipment, including guillotine cutters, die cutters, and precision cutting machines, in accordance with safety and production procedures.
  • Cut printed trading card sheets to required dimensions while maintaining proper registration and alignment.
  • Review work orders and production specifications to ensure accurate setup and execution.
  • Perform quality inspections to verify cut accuracy, sizing, alignment, and overall product quality.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make routine adjustments to maintain cutting precision.
  • Identify and remove defective materials before they proceed to the next production stage.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, waste, and downtime.
  • Assist with machine setup, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Printing, Packaging, and Production teams to meet daily production goals.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience operating cutting equipment in a manufacturing, printing, packaging, or production environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to accurately read measurements and follow production specifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.


Physical Requirements

  • Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
  • Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manua dexterity, and coordination
  • Requires near visual acuity
  • Requires working around and operating departmental equipment
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
  • Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances

Work Environmental Factors

  • Full-time position with some flexibility required for urgent projects
  • Climate-controlled production environment
  • May involve exposure to machinery noise and heated equipment
