Medical Assistant (Full-Time) – Internal Medicine

We are a well-established, busy Internal Medicine practice looking for a full-time Medical Assistant who is friendly, organized, and passionate about providing outstanding patient care.  If you enjoy building relationships with patients, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to work with a supportive team that values collaboration and respect, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
  • Obtain vital signs and document medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
  • Perform point-of-care testing (per state regulations)
  • Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure infection control standards are met
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record

Schedule

Full-time | Monday–Friday | No evenings, weekends, or major holidays.

Requirements

 

What We're Looking For

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred, but experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Athenahealth experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting
  • A positive attitude and a team-first mindset
