Position Overview
This position is contingent upon contract award. Resicum International LLC is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates in anticipation of a potential contract award supporting the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), 720th Special Tactics Group (720 STG), Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Selection, hiring, and employment are contingent upon successful contract award, funding authorization, and completion of all required pre-employment requirements.
Resicum International LLC is seeking experienced Special Reconnaissance (SR) Instructors to provide expert instruction, mentorship, and operational training supporting the development of future Air Force Special Reconnaissance operators.
The Special Reconnaissance Instructor serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for delivering classroom, practical, and field-based instruction focused on Special Reconnaissance tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). The instructor prepares students to conduct reconnaissance, surveillance, environmental sensing, target acquisition, and information collection operations supporting Special Operations missions.
This position provides an exceptional opportunity for former Special Operations professionals to continue serving the Special Operations community by developing the next generation of Special Reconnaissance operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver classroom and field-based instruction supporting the Special Reconnaissance training pipeline.
- Provide instruction on Special Reconnaissance tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Conduct practical exercises, mission planning events, rehearsals, and field training activities.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback throughout the training process.
- Mentor students in leadership, decision-making, operational planning, and mission execution.
- Assist with the development and refinement of course curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials.
- Ensure training is conducted in accordance with AFSOC standards, safety requirements, and operational guidance.
- Participate in after-action reviews (AARs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain instructor proficiency and remain current on applicable doctrine, tactics, and emerging capabilities.
- Support additional Special Tactics training requirements as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with instructors, government personnel, and operational Subject Matter Experts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to support physically demanding field training activities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and austere environments.
- Ability to participate in field exercises, practical training events, and operationally focused instruction.
- Ability to travel locally and support training events as required.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Former U.S. Air Force Special Reconnaissance (SR) operator or equivalent Special Tactics experience.
- Demonstrated operational experience supporting Special Operations missions.
- Previous experience instructing, evaluating, mentoring, or developing military personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of Special Reconnaissance mission planning, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Ability to effectively communicate operational concepts, technical information, and training requirements to diverse audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary Special Operations training team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required government credentials, installation access, and security requirements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties in austere field training environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and support extended training events.
- Ability to travel locally and support training requirements as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous assignment to the Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS) or similar formal military training organization.
- Graduate of applicable Special Tactics instructor qualification courses.
- Experience developing military curriculum, lesson plans, instructor guides, and training materials.
- Recent operational Special Reconnaissance experience.
- Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), or deployed operational experience.
- Familiarity with Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) training management systems and instructional methodologies.
- Previous Department of Defense contractor instructor experience.
- Active or previous experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) training programs.
