  •  Palo Verde Pain Specialists is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to join our growing Pain Management team. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing outstanding patient care. 
Requirements

 

  •  Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written communication).  
  •  Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Thorough understanding of Medical Assistant responsibilities, including:
  •  Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
  •  Preparing and reviewing patient charts
  • Accurate EMR documentation and charting.
  • Assisting providers during examinations and pain management procedures.
  • Processing provider orders, referrals, and prescriptions

 

Position Duties: Including, but not limited to:

  • As a Medical Assistant of our practice, you will be responsible for providing and assisting the provider in the clinical documentation necessary during a clinical visit under direct supervision of the provider 
  • Maintain working knowledge of common medications, including dosages and indications
  • Ability to navigate EHR to retrieve and enter documentation
  • Outgoing referral to specialists, completing orders for imaging, etc.
  • Assist with add-ons chart prep for next day (prepare for week and check add-ons) Imaging, referring provider notes, scans, etc.
  • Triage calls
  • Assist with in-office procedures
  • Complete urine drug screens
  • Maintains clean and orderly back office area
  • Provides assistance to team members, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed (i.e. reliability, initiative, work relations, training needs)
