Position Summary

Mintahoe Catering & Events is seeking a dependable Kitchen Staff team member to support daily meal preparation and food service for residents at the Leo C. Burns Residence. This is a hands-on position responsible for food prep, meal service, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, organized kitchen.

Key Responsibilities


Food Preparation & Service

  • Assist with food preparation and meal production according to established menus
  • Support meal service to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals
  • Prepare and portion food items in accordance with production standards
  • Assist with pre-meal setup and post-meal service activities

Inventory & Receiving

  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Receive and store food deliveries in accordance with food safety guidelines
  • Monitor product levels and communicate needs to supervisors

Sanitation & Cleaning

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, and dining areas
  • Perform daily cleaning and closing duties
  • Follow proper procedures for handling leftovers and stored food items

Operational Support

  • Support overall kitchen operations to ensure efficient daily service
  • Follow established schedules and operational procedures
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding daily needs
Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare, senior living, or licensed food service environment is a plus
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work well on a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable performing repetitive kitchen tasks


Work Environment

Work is performed in a licensed food service and kitchen environment. Employees may be exposed to heat, cold, and kitchen equipment. The role requires adherence to strict food safety and sanitation standards.


Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Typical hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; however, schedules may vary based on operational needs.
