Position Purpose
Complete activities that assure compliance with the Quality Management System. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Set-ups, first piece and in-process inspections
- Tooling inspection
- Complete steps for Production Part Approval Process
- Participate in APQP process
- Completes special and miscellaneous projects
Performance Measurements
- Successfully completes all assigned duties on time and error-free
- Interacts effectively with internal and external customers
- Communicates problems or potential problems to the Quality Manager
- Focuses on the task at hand and avoids unnecessary distractions
- Ensures that work area is clean and documents are filed properly
Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience: Experience as an inspector/technician in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
Skills/Abilities: Basic computer and typing skills; ability to read/interpret basic blueprints; proficient in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, drop gages, and steel rules; good problem solving skills; displayed competency with AIAG core tools; competency in creating IMDS
Minimum Physical Requirements: Occasional stooping, bending, periodic reaching overhead, some lifting of up to twenty-five pounds, extended walking, handling, and moving of bulky rolls of material.
