Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
The Opportunity (Job Purpose):
Are you ready to make a visible impact? As our next Assistant Parts Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by leading our local team. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):
- Greet and keep customers informed on the status of special order, back-order parts.
- Receive, locate, bill, and fulfill orders and handle customer returns.
- Answer questions, provide price quotes, inform of companion part requirements and specials in-person and over the phone.
- Create sales opportunities in the parts department.
- Oversee parts warranty procedures.
- Assist with reviewing part costs and controlling retail pricing of parts with guidance from the SBU.
- Manage inventory levels to achieve target turns while minimizing stockouts and lost sales.
- Work with Parts Manager and Human Resources to assist in the selection, hiring, training, and development of employees.
- Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
- Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Two years of work experience in a heavy-duty truck parts department preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to work effectively with peers to implement business process changes.
- Proficient skills with employee development and supervision skills, and inventory management.
- Experienced with basic software programs.
- Mindset: A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial "pioneering spirit," strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand and walk; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; simple grasp, firm grasp and fine manipulation; work near moving mechanical equipment; use a variety of air tools and basic hand tools; use safety glasses, gloves, and shoes; talk or hear.
