Preschool Teacher - YMCA VPK Program

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with VPK standards
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assess and monitor each child's progress, maintaining detailed records
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and health regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid VPK teaching certification or credential
- CPR
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to early childhood education
- Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for teaching young children
