Our lead drug candidate, saroglitazar, is a dual peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) alpha / gamma agonist. Saroglitazar is an investigational treatment which has received Fast Track designation, orphan drug designation and priority review designation from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Primary Biliary Cholangitis is a rare, chronic autoimmune liver disease primarily affecting middle-aged women, characterized by the progressive destruction of the bile ducts that can lead to irreversible liver damage if left untreated.

ROLE SUMMARY
Zydus Therapeutics is building the analytics engine for the anticipated US launch of saroglitazar in Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a new PPAR therapy for a serious rare hepatology indication. There are additional indications that Zydus Therapeutics is exploring for Saroglitazar through its clinical trial program. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Director, Field & Market Access Data Analytics to serve as the strategic analytics partner supporting the organization's customer-facing teams. Reporting to the Executive Director, Data Analytics & Operations, this is a critical individual contributor role that will be responsible for delivering actionable insights, performance analytics, and data-driven recommendations that enable field execution excellence and market access success.
The Director will leverage key data and technology assets including Komodo and Veeva Compass claims data, Lab data, Definitive Healthcare, MMIT, Specialty Pharmacy data, Specialty Distribution data, Patient Hub, and other relevant healthcare datasets to support the analytical needs of the field sales organization, key account managers (KAMs), and thought leader liaison (TLL) teams. This leader will evaluate and transform complex healthcare data into meaningful business insights that improve customer targeting, market understanding, access strategy, field force effectiveness, account planning, and launch readiness activities for saroglitazar.
This role requires a hands-on analytics leader who thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment and can effectively bridge business strategy, healthcare data, field operations, and business insights to drive informed decision-making and maximize organizational impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Field Analytics & Insights
- Serve as the primary analytics partner for the Field Sales, Key Account Manager (KAM), and Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) organizations.
- Develop and deliver actionable insights to support customer segmentation, targeting, territory planning, account prioritization, and field execution strategies.
- Analyze healthcare claims, laboratory, provider, and account-level data to identify opportunities, trends, and performance drivers.
- Design, implement and continuously enhance field performance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs to support monitoring of field force effectiveness, and identify opportunities to enable data driven performance management and improve customer engagement.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer business-critical questions and support business leadership decision-making.
Market Access & Payer Analytics
- Partner closely with Market Access leadership to evaluate payer, account, and reimbursement dynamics that impact patient access and product adoption.
- Utilize MMIT and related market access datasets to assess coverage policies, reimbursement trends, payer opportunities, and access barriers.
- Manage, analyze and leverage Specialty Pharmacy data, Specialty Distribution data, Patient Hub data, and data aggregator reporting to identify opportunities for a frictionless experience for Saroglitazar customers.
- Enable data-driven account segmentation, payer strategy development, and key account planning initiatives through advanced analytics, AI-enabled decision support, predictive insights and scenario modeling.
- Design and deliver reporting and insights that enable proactive management of market access performance, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and enable timely commercial interventions.
- Proactively identify emerging payer, reimbursement, and healthcare ecosystem trends. Communicate potential business implications and recommendations to leadership.
Customer, Provider & Thought Leader Analytics
- Leverage Definitive Healthcare, claims data, laboratory data, and provider-level data to identify high-value accounts, healthcare systems, and prescriber opportunities.
- Support Thought Leader Liaison activities through identification, profiling, and prioritization of key opinion leaders and influential healthcare stakeholders.
- Analyze referral patterns, patient flow, provider networks, and treatment pathways to support strategic customer-engagement planning.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to optimize customer segmentation, targeting and customer-engagement strategies.
Launch Readiness & Commercial Strategy
- Support pre-launch and launch planning activities through patient, provider, account, specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, patient Hub, and market opportunity assessments.
- Deliver analytics supporting patient identification, diagnosis rates, treatment pathways, and market development initiatives.
- Provide forecasting inputs and market sizing analyses that support strategic planning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop data-driven recommendations that improve field execution and launch readiness.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Field Teams, Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, and business leadership to understand business questions and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on the interpretation and application of healthcare claims, laboratory, provider, and access data.
- Support annual planning, business reviews, and strategic initiatives through delivery of sophisticated analytical insights.
- Represent Data Analytics & Operations in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning discussions.
Vendor & Data Management
- Collaborate with internal analytics teams and external data partners (i.e., systems integrators, agencies, and specialized vendor partners) to ensure timely access to high-quality commercial data assets.
- Manage relationships with data providers including Komodo, Veeva Compass, Quest, MMIT, Definitive Healthcare, Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distribution, Patient Hub, and other analytics partners.
- Monitor data quality, consistency, and integrity while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Support development of analytical methodologies, business rules, and standardized reporting frameworks.
- Ensure appropriate compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare data usage guidelines.
· Bachelor's degree required in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related field.
· Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
· Minimum 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare analytics, commercial operations, market access analytics, business intelligence, or related functions.
· Demonstrated experience supporting field sales organizations, account management teams, market access functions, or commercial operations.
· Direct experience working with healthcare claims, laboratory, provider, payer, and customer-level data.
· Strong experience with one or more of the following data assets preferred: Komodo, Veeva Compass, Quest lab data, MMIT, Definitive Healthcare, IQVIA, Symphony, or comparable healthcare datasets.
· Proven ability to develop actionable field force analytics, customer targeting methodologies, account segmentation approaches, and performance reporting solutions.
· Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, specialty pharmaceutical markets, patient journeys, healthcare provider networks, and payer dynamics.
· Experience building dashboards and visualization solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
· Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
· Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment among cross-functional teams without direct authority.
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, pre-commercial or emerging commercial environment.
· High degree of intellectual curiosity, accountability, adaptability, and business acumen.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The position will require domestic travel (up to 15-20%), including attendance at headquarters meetings, field meetings, national sales meetings, market access planning sessions, and industry conferences.

This is a hybrid/office-based position, located in our Pennington, NJ office.
