Description
The GMIT role is designed to prepare candidates for full General Manager responsibilities. This position involves hands-on leadership, operational management, and team development while ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient business operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operational Management – Oversee daily store operations, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Team Leadership & Training – Mentor employees, conduct training sessions, and foster a positive work culture.
- Customer Service & Brand Standards – Ensure excellent guest experiences and maintain brand expectations.
- Administrative Duties – Process payroll, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with store policies.
- Supply Chain Oversight – Support inventory tracking, vendor management, and ordering processes.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with local promotions, social media efforts, and partnership events.
- Address employee concerns, manage customer issues, and provide solutions.
- Uphold cleanliness, food safety regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Identify areas for efficiency and suggest operational enhancements.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires a combination of physical tasks to perform duties effectively, including:
- Standing & Walking (50%) – On feet for extended periods during shifts.
- Lifting & Carrying (20%) – Regularly lifting items up to 25 lbs, including inventory and supplies.
- Bending & Reaching (15%) – Stocking shelves, cleaning areas, and accessing low/high storage spaces.
- Manual Dexterity (10%) – Operating coffee machines, registers, and preparing food/beverages.
- Exposure to Heat & Noise (5%) – Working near ovens, espresso machines, and in a bustling environment.

Requirements
- Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or retail management preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Passion for coffee culture, guest experience, and team development.
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, holidays and weekends
- Food handler certification
