The Warehouse Manager is responsible for providing developmental leadership to the warehouse team and overseeing daily operational excellence to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety while managing the end-to-end fulfillment lifecycle for our combined retail storefront and e-commerce operation. This role involves directly leading and developing a year-round team with a focus towards maintaining organizational health and employee well-being. You will also be responsible for overseeing the full recruitment cycle for seasonal team members. Functionally, this role has a major emphasis on successful inventory management through the use of WMS, with additional focuses on accurate order fulfillment and process optimization. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with other department leaders and under the guidance of the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and people-focused leader who is highly organized, adaptable, and has a keen interest in continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide real-time feedback and guidance to your team, encouraging professional growth and optimal team performance.
- Identify opportunities for task delegation to team members to empower them and foster their professional growth.
- Conduct quarterly check-ins and annual reviews with the warehouse team, with an emphasis on employee development.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for seasonal and year-round team members, screening, interviewing, hiring, and training staff.
- Create and implement work schedules, ensuring the department is optimally staffed based on seasonal order volume and warehouse operational needs. This includes processing all time off requests and schedule adjustments.
- Collaborate with People Operations to manage the departmental seasonal offboarding process.
- Train on current and new processes for all team members, updating department processes and SOP documents regularly.
- Oversee and ensure all necessary staff are trained on key certifications (i.e., forklift operator, order picker operator, etc.)
Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
- Facilitate the weekly Warehouse Level 10 (L10) meetings.
- Represent the warehouse department in weekly Operations L10 meetings
- Drive accountability and clarity within the team using EOS tools and principles.
- Be familiar with and follow EOS best practices
Operations
- Oversee and optimize all recurring inventory management activities, including receiving, storage, transfers, restocking, and inventory counts.
- Oversee and optimize all recurring activities within the order fulfillment process, including picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
- Effectively organize, communicate with, and motivate the team to complete all departmental priorities. At times, this will include hands-on work of daily warehouse tasks.
- Identify shipping issues, and serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolution.
- Leverage NetSuite for inventory management, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Manage relevant supplier relationships and maintain accurate inventory of necessary department supplies at all times. Note: this does not include rate negotiations which are handled by Finance.
Safety, Quality & Facilities Maintenance
- Enforce applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, secure, and compliant.
- Manage equipment and vehicle maintenance, working with Finance to coordinate any necessary repairs and improvements.
- Prioritize and manage incoming shipments, coordinating logistics with shipping carriers.
- Uphold high standards for inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Customer Service, Tech, and Buying teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and a high degree of inventory accuracy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related issues.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 75 lbs, handle weight up to 18 lbs overhead, and frequently lift 20-30 lb boxes.
- Comfortably climb a 12-foot ladder while carrying objects weighing 5-20 lbs.
- Willingness to get certified for operation of necessary equipment, including forklifts and order pickers.
- Ability to work on feet for most of the day.
- Positive, adaptable, and highly collaborative.

- Strong leadership skills, with a people-first mindset.
- 3-4 years of warehousing or e-commerce retail experience in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite, RF-Smart, or similar WMS for managing inventory and warehouse operations.
- Experience with warehouse organization and best practices
- Experience with heavy machinery operations such as forklifts.
- Experience with employee recruiting and onboarding.
- Familiarity with EOS framework
- Experience with scheduling teams, with an emphasis on being able to creatively optimize allocation of labor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Requires on-site leadership and availability during our peak seasons including the time surrounding all major holidays
- This is a full-time, on-site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work
