Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Recovery Support Center Manager to lead the daily operations of our Recovery Support Center. 


This leadership role is ideal for someone who is passionate about peer support, recovery-oriented services, and creating an inclusive environment where individuals can thrive.


As the Recovery Support Center Manager, you will oversee center operations, supervise staff and volunteers, develop innovative programming, foster community partnerships, and ensure participants have an active voice in shaping the services and activities offered. You'll also provide direct peer support while promoting hope, wellness, and recovery.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the daily operations of the Recovery Support Center.
  • Supervise and mentor Recovery Support Center staff and volunteers.
  • Promote a welcoming, recovery-focused environment built on peer support and mutual respect.
  • Develop and oversee center programming, budgets, and community events.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, contractual requirements, and reporting standards.
  • Build collaborative relationships with community partners and statewide recovery organizations.
  • Facilitate participant engagement and empower individuals to take ownership of center activities.
  • Serve as a recovery role model while providing peer support and advocacy.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Flexibility is required, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours as needed to support program operations and participant needs.

Requirements

  

· An Associate Degree in a Human Services related field is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferable. 

· Supervisory/management experience is preferred. 

· This position requires the Intentional Peer Support Specialist and Recovery Coach certifications are required upon hire.  

· CPR and First Aid are a plus.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
