General Summary: Responsible for leading the company's information technology operations, infrastructure, enterprise applications, software development, cybersecurity, and technical support functions. This position manages a team of technical professionals and ensures reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support business operations. The IT Manager is a hands-on leader who balances technical expertise with people leadership, project management, and operational execution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage IT inventory and asset lifecycle.
- Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across technical disciplines.
- Ensures high availability of corporate technology systems.
- Leads, mentors, coaches, and develops IT staff including conducting performance evaluations and establishing development plans.
- Oversee licensing compliance and stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Develops/selects and conducts user training on an as-needed basis.
- Develop and track performance metrics to monitor system performance and progress on IT projects
- Manage servers, storage, networking, cloud services, telecommunications, and endpoint infrastructure.
- Supervise internal software development projects.
- Coordinate application integrations and third-party systems.
- Maintain cybersecurity policies and controls.
- Coordinate vulnerability management and remediation including overseeing endpoint protection, identity management, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or related field or an equivalent of education and experience
Experience Requirements: 5+ years of progressive information technology experience to include managing infrastructure, applications, and support teams. 2-5 years of supervisory or management experience. In addition, experience managing vendors and budgets. Strategic thinker with a focus on using technology to help create value. Demonstration of ability to work successfully with customers, suppliers, and employees and provide leadership in a team environment.
Knowledge/ Skills:
The employee must have leadership skills and excellent strategy and planning abilities; knowledge of Information systems development and implementation; and skills in problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
