JOB SUMMARY
This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the warehouse by coordinating workflow and assisting with the oversight of warehouse associates. Responsible for performing warehouse activities while providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe operations. This role helps ensure the timely movement of inventory, adherence to procedures, and maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
This position is for second (2nd) shift, operating schedule and hours of Monday through Friday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Lead and support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
- Provide direction and guidance to warehouse associates to ensure productivity and accuracy
- Monitor workflow and assist in prioritizing tasks to meet daily operational goals
- Pick and verify orders accurately using pick lists or other order fulfillment tools
- Ensure adherence to inspection processes to maintain product quality
- Assist with loading/unloading orders onto trucks or other transport vehicles
- Support receiving activities, including verifying and storing incoming materials
- Supply raw materials to departments as needed (paper to presses, etc.)
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Train and mentor new and existing employees on warehouse procedures and safety standards
- Monitor and reinforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Identify and report safety hazards, operational issues, or process improvement opportunities
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
- Assist with inventory control and accuracy, including cycle counts as needed
- Maintain the physical condition of equipment and report maintenance needs
- Work overtime as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma/GED
• Previous warehouse experience required; lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability and experience operating a forklift
• Ability to speak, read and write English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, pivot/twist, climbing, kneeling, balance.
• Regularly operating equipment such as forklift and/or order selector (up to 20ft)
• Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs. floor to waist FREQUENT, lift at least 70 lbs. knuckle to shoulder FREQUENT, lift at least 70 lbs. FREQUENT, carry at least 60 lbs. OCCASIONAL, and push and pull at least 82 lbs. of force OCCASIONAL.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work activities occur in an inside workspace where extreme heat and may occur. May be exposed to outside while walking into trailers. Work conditions may include drafts.
