Status: Full-Time, Hourly | Starting at $25/hour DOE
Position Summary
The Customs Precast Technician is responsible for building, setting, modifying, and maintaining precast concrete forms while ensuring quality, safety, and production requirements are met. This role requires precast concrete experience, strong carpentry skills, the ability to accurately read construction drawings, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, modify, strip, and repair precast concrete form systems.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, production drawings, and specifications.
- Set embedded items, lifting anchors, blockouts, reveals, and connections per project requirements.
- Measure, layout, and verify dimensions to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forms and finished products for quality and conformance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Coordinate with supervisors, quality control personnel, and production team members.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing or custom precast production.
- Experience working with multiple precast form systems.
- Strong carpentry skills and ability to fabricate custom formwork.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and shop drawings.
- Working knowledge of measuring tools and layout techniques.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials commonly associated with precast production.
- Dependable attendance record and strong work ethic.
