Description

SUMMARY 

Perform inside sales review and process customer orders to ensure accuracy in price and delivery to meet customer expectations. Quote and reprice existing parts. Assist Engineering in determining materials and processes needed for new jobs and engineering change orders. Maintain and update production system and drawing control. Respond to customer inquiries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Receive customer orders via email, fax or customer websites. Review for accuracy including revision levels, price, delivery and due dates. Reprice, when necessary, which includes review of current raw material cost, outside processing and labor rates. 
  • Enter orders, produce forecast and demand reports; monthly sales graphing
  • Review quotes, prepare New Job Checklist and perform contract review for new jobs and engineering changes. 
  • Participates in Green Area Meetings.
  • Set up and maintain computer master file with bills of materials and routers. 
  • Respond to all customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Weekly reporting on incoming orders
  • Updating/ tracking of monthly sales graphs, On-time delivery tracking/ reports
  • Other duties may be assigned.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES / SUPPORT 

  • Reviews all incoming orders for part numbers, price, revision date in accordance with ISO9002 standards; reprices when necessary.
  • Assists Sales/ Engineering with various tasks assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.

Salary Description
Starting at $24/hr and up to $28/hr
