Description

The Clinical Director of Residential Services provides clinical leadership, oversight, and direction for BSCS’s residential programs. This role ensures that all services are trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with agency values and regulatory standards.


The Clinical Director supervises clinical staff, supports program leadership, and plays a key role in maintaining high-quality care, staff development, and positive outcomes for youth.


What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference... 

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all residential programs serving youth and young adults
  • Hire, train, and support staff
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinicians, clinical interns, and other therapeutic staff regularly
  • Assist in developing and maintaining policy procedures for all residential programs
  • Ensure clinical services align with trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally responsive practices
  • Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and case reviews as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Program Directors to support program operations, crisis response, and youth care planning
  • Lead clinical team meetings, trainings, and case consultations
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with external providers, schools, guardians, and state agencies to coordinate care
  • Support staff development through coaching, training, and modeling best practices
  • Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Maintain positive relationships with all funding sources and all licensing agencies and ensure that licensing requirements are up to date for all programs
  • Complete internal reviews of medical records, communication logs and incident reports
  • Maintain documentation in Virtual Gateway
  • Maintain a consistent and regular in-person presence throughout all Residential Programs weekly; prioritizing crisis situations as they may arise
  • Maintain a positive connection with all youth in all Residential programs

Requirements
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, and Marriage and family therapy is required
  • An active clinical license within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required. This could include licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).  
  • Minimum 3-5 of years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with youth and families
  • Experience working in residential care required.
  • Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance
  • Acceptable CORI, SORI and DEEC background record check including fingerprinting
