Job Summary:
The Delivery Parts Representative is responsible for delivering parts to customers along an assigned route as directed by the Parts Manager, while also supporting the daily operations of the Parts Department through counter sales, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Delivers parts and supplies to customers along an assigned route as directed by the Parts Manager, ensuring accurate, timely, and professional delivery of all orders.
  • Verifies delivery orders for accuracy prior to departure, confirming correct parts, quantities, and delivery destinations.
  • Obtains customer signatures and maintains accurate delivery records and documentation for all completed deliveries.
  • Communicates professionally with customers at delivery locations, serving as a representative of the company.
  • Returns undelivered, refused, or incorrect parts to the Parts Department and reports any delivery issues to the Parts Manager promptly.
  • Works closely with front counter and warehouse personnel to support parts identification, order processing, inventory staging, and timely fulfillment of customer and internal service requests.
  • Pulls, stages, and issues parts for customer orders and service work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Receives, inspects, and stocks incoming parts shipments; maintains accurate inventory records and assists with cycle counts.
  • Creates and processes purchase orders for backordered or special-order parts as needed.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe parts department, delivery vehicle, and storage area.
  • Operates delivery vehicle safely and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and company policies.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports any maintenance needs to the Parts Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Previous warehouse, parts, delivery, or shipping and receiving experience required. 
  • Basic computer and inventory system knowledge required; experience with CDK or equivalent system is preferred. 
  • Forklift certification or experience preferred. 
  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Ability to accurately identify, organize, and track parts and inventory. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal team members. 
  • Ability to follow instructions, processes, and safety guidelines consistently. 
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with minimal supervision both in the field and within the Parts Department. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance. 
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb throughout the workday both in the parts department and in the field; must be able to lift, move, and carry objects up to 75 lbs regularly; must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment, tools, and a delivery vehicle. 
  • Work Environment: Work is performed in a combination of warehouse, office, and outdoor field environments with exposure to varying temperatures, mechanical equipment, and driving conditions typical of a trailer parts and service facility.
Salary Description
$19.00 to $21.00 per hour
