The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for owning client relationships and supporting the successful delivery of projects from pursuit through closeout. Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, the AM partners closely with internal teams and external partners to manage client expectations, coordinate project execution, and ensure profitable outcomes. This role balances relationship management, commercial responsibility, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
Client Ownership & Sales Execution
- Own and manage assigned client relationships, serving as the primary client contact and advocate throughout the project lifecycle.
- Qualify and secure business within assigned and self-generated accounts.
- Support business development efforts through participation in RFPs, client interviews, presentations, and pre-project selling activities.
- Maintain ongoing client engagement, including post-installation support, warranty coordination, and “day two” requests.
Commercial Responsibility & Financial Accuracy
- Develop accurate pricing estimates for products, labor, and services.
- Generate budgets, pricing structures, and proposals in alignment with company guidelines and leadership input as required.
- Actively manage projects to safeguard profitability and mitigate margin erosion.
- Perform quality checks on pricing, specifications, and related deliverables prior to submission or order placement.
- Manage sales forecasting and maintain accurate CRM (Zendesk) records for assigned accounts.
Project Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Design, Project Management, Project Coordination, Marketing, and Finance—to ensure project requirements, timelines, and client expectations are met.
- Support planning, programming, order fulfillment, installation, and closeout activities in coordination with Project Managers.
- Attend pre-install, construction, and project meetings as required.
- Ensure site visits are conducted as needed to verify field conditions, measurements, and site readiness.
- Keep internal teams informed of project status, timelines, and required action steps.
Client Satisfaction & Account Development
- Ensure a thorough project closeout and product orientation to the satisfaction of the client.
- Support the resolution of service, warranty, or performance issues in coordination with internal teams.
- Maintain relationships and educate clients on new products, dealer services, and potential future needs.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships within existing accounts by engaging additional stakeholders, departments, or divisions.
- Represent KBM Hogue professionally within the market through client engagement and community involvement.
Team Collaboration & Development
- Maintain a mentorship mindset by supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing with peers and junior team members.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and internal planning discussions.
- Attend product, sales, and industry training to maintain professional expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of successful account management, sales, or project-based client services experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with clients.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- High level of empathy for client needs and relationship management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM systems (Zendesk).
- Availability for evening or weekend work as business needs require.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Travel up to 5% to local KBM Hogue offices, client sites, and occasional overnight travel as required.
- Work Schedule: 100% remote or hybrid with a minimum of three (3) on-site days per week

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $80,000–$120,000 annually. This range represents the base salary that KBM Hogue reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting and is provided as a good-faith estimate. The posted range does not guarantee a specific salary or an offer at any particular point within the range. Actual base salary will be determined based on job-related factors, which may include the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and work location.
This position may also be eligible for additional compensation under KBM Hogue’s Sales Compensation Plan, which may include commission and/or bonus opportunities based on applicable plan terms.
