At UniFide CST, we don't manage projects from behind a desk. We lead them in the field. From truck scale installations and industrial weighing systems to concrete foundations, rigging operations, and complex equipment installations, our customers trust us to execute projects that directly impact their operations. Every day presents a new challenge, a new site, and an opportunity to deliver exceptional results.
We're looking for a Field Project Manager who thrives where the work happens. Someone who enjoys coordinating trades, solving field challenges, building strong customer relationships, and seeing a project through from kickoff to commissioning. If you're the type of construction or industrial project professional who prefers walking a jobsite over sitting in meetings and takes pride in delivering projects safely, profitably, and on schedule, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Who We Are:
UniFide CST delivers complete weighing and measurement solutions that support critical operations across food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, transportation, and industrial markets. Our customers depend on us for equipment, service, calibration, compliance, and installation expertise. We're known for doing what we say we'll do and delivering solutions that keep our customers operating efficiently and safely.
The Role:
This is a hands-on, field-focused project leadership role. As our Field Project Manager, you'll own projects from planning through final commissioning. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for customers while coordinating subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably. You'll spend time both in the field and managing the details that drive successful execution. One day you may be coordinating a crane lift and concrete contractor at an active jobsite. The next, you may be meeting with a customer to finalize schedules, reviewing project costs, or planning a multi-phase installation.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, technical awareness, and the ability to keep projects moving despite changing conditions and competing priorities. You'll be trusted to lead projects, solve problems, and make decisions that positively impact our customers and our business.
Day In The Life:
On any given day, you might:
- Lead a pre-construction meeting with customers, concrete contractors, electricians, crane operators, and subcontractors
- Visit active job sites to monitor progress, maintain schedules, and remove obstacles before they impact the project
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, rigging operations, subcontractors, and UniFide technicians
- Adjust project schedules based on weather, site conditions, customer requirements, or unforeseen project challenges
- Manage installation sequencing and ensure work progresses safely and efficiently
- Review project budgets, track costs, and manage change orders
- Develop project layouts and installation plans to improve execution
- Communicate project updates with customers and internal stakeholders
- Partner with Sales, Service, and Operations teams to ensure projects are planned and executed successfully
- Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining customer confidence and project momentum
- Verify installation quality, safety compliance, and project readiness before final commissioning
Who You Are:
You're someone who:
- Takes ownership and accountability for results
- Leads confidently in the field and earns the respect of crews, contractors, and customers
- Enjoys solving problems and making decisions in real time
- Thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple projects and moving priorities
- Understands how to balance customer expectations, schedules, and financial performance
- Communicates effectively with customers, subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal teams
- Anticipates challenges before they become problems
- Stays organized without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Follows through on commitments and drives projects to completion
- Prefers building, coordinating, and executing rather than simply tracking projects
You likely bring experience from construction management, industrial construction, equipment installations, mechanical contracting, site development, field operations, or a similar environment where successful project execution depended on strong field leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience managing construction, industrial, or equipment installation projects
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades on active job sites
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, sequencing, and field execution
- Experience managing project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Ability to lead projects from the field, not just from the office
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with crane coordination, rigging operations, or heavy equipment installation
- Construction management, industrial construction, or field project leadership experience
- Mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems background
- Ability to read site plans, construction drawings, and project specifications
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Health, dental, vision, life, and other insurance options
- 3 weeks PTO & 8 paid federal holidays
- 401(k) with up to 3% company match
- Regional travel with most nights spent at home
- Professional development and growth opportunities
- A collaborative, team-first culture built on accountability and results
Why UniFide CST:
This isn't a role where you simply update schedules and attend meetings. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, lead field execution, solve real-world challenges, and build lasting customer relationships. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, the support of an experienced team, and the opportunity to directly influence how projects are delivered across our organization. If you're looking for a role where your leadership matters, your work is visible, and your success is measured by what gets built and delivered, we'd like to talk with you.
