Description

 

As a Vitamins/HBA Manager you will be responsible for the sales and operation of the Wellness department, ensuring excellent customer service by giving prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable information and guidance on our large selection of supplements and related products. You will also maintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other HBA items, providing guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and related products to our customers.


Essential Duties:

  • Ensure excellent customer service by giving prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable information and guidance on our large selection of supplements and related products
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department, providing customers with guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and related products
  • Order product and manage inventory control
  • Oversee sales and promotional events
  • Work to achieve required sales, margin, expense and labor goals, through maintaining the proper product assortment, merchandising and inventory control to avoid out of stocks and overstocks
  • Work with buyer to determine inventory, based on frequent evaluation of sales reports and current market trends
  • Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions, and performance review process.
  • Regularly attend and participate at in-store meetings.
  • Take and document corrective actions when needed, including collaboration with business and HR partners in managing performance to include coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination when needed.
  • Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels to ensure customers' needs are consistently met.
  • Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
  • Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
  • Serve as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be at least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership experience
  • Knowledge of trends in natural foods industry.
  • Supervision experience--hiring, training, evaluating.
  • Experience serving the public.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands.
  • Concrete ideas of how to market Wellness products at the store.
  • Communication skills: be a good listener, with the ability to give clear instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and handle multiple demands.
  • Willingness to work one weekend day.
  • Regular, predictable attendance.
  • Willingness and ability to learn to meet the changing requirements of the job.
Salary Description
$23-$26 DOE
