Welder/Pipefitter
Position Summary
The Welder/Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, welding, repair, and maintenance of piping systems, structural components, and related equipment. This position works from blueprints, specifications, and drawings to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, welding symbols, and piping isometrics.
- Measure cut, thread, bevel, fit, align, and install piping systems and components.
- Perform structural and pipe welding using approved welding procedures and processes.
- Fabricate pipe spools, supports, hangers, and other related components.
- Install, repair, and maintain process piping, utility piping, equipment, and associated systems.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and tolerances to ensure proper fit-up and functionality.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Operate welding equipment, power tools, hand tools, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and fellow craft professionals to meet project schedules and objectives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
Work Environment
This position may require work indoors and outdoors on active construction and industrial job sites. Overtime, travel, and weekend work may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Welder, Pipefitter, or Welder/Pipefitter in an industrial, commercial, or construction environment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, piping isometrics, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation, welding, rigging, and material handling practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions when required.
