Hoag Health, Orange County's top-ranked health system is seeking a full time, Physician Assistant to join our growing Vascular Surgery program! 


The Hoag Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute at Hoag Health is pioneering world-class care in our community.  The program is involved in multiple clinical trials and is often a site for newtechnologies as multiple leading biotech companies are headquartered or have a strong presence in Orange County, CA. We are also expanding, with a new hospital being completed in Irvine, CA in 2026!


Highlights:

· Full time position

· Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

· Outpatient role with occasional inpatient duties including rounding and first assist support

Duties:

· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.

· Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

· Administer medications and perform procedures such as phlebotomy and dermabrasion.

· Provide health coaching to patients, educating them on lifestyle changes and wellness strategies.

· Suturing, closing, retracting. Sclerotherapy experience preferred but not required

· Participate in discharge planning for patients leaving the hospital, ensuring continuity of care.

· Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including medical coding for billing purposes.


Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Vascular Surgery PA is REQUIRED

· Active CA Physician Assistant License in good standing

· Graduate from an accredited PA program

· Vascular and /or surgical experience highly preferred 

· Experience with Epic EMR preferred

· Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.

· Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
