Packaging Line Forklift Operator

Operates a forklift to support packaging-line operations by supplying production areas with necessary materials and transporting completed products to designated warehouse locations. Loads, unloads, stages, stacks, and stores pallets safely and efficiently. Removes finished pallets from the packaging line promptly to prevent delays and maintain continuous production. Verifies product labels, quantities, pallet condition, and inventory locations before moving materials. Performs daily equipment inspections, reports safety or mechanical concerns, follows warehouse traffic and safety procedures, assists with inventory counts, and maintains a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

 

  • Previous forklift, warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely in production and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to load, unload, stack, stage, and transport palletized products.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and warehouse traffic rules.
  • Ability to read product labels, inventory numbers, work orders, and safety instructions.
  • Basic math and inventory-recording skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift approximately 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
  • Ability to complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment problems promptly.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
