The National Mechanical Pricing role focuses on supporting the outside sales team and national accounts in quoting large commercial and industrial projects across the US. Quote requests will be submitted by one of the following: outside sales representatives, directly by customers, or other MacArthur leadership. This position will manage the process from receipt of the inquiry through the process of securing pricing from vendors, and back to the customer. It is critical that deadlines are met for bid packages and that MacArthur presents a professional, consistent format back to the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate products requested on a bid to determine the best vendor to solicit pricing; could include multiple vendors.
- Ability to evaluate product requests & ask clarifying questions regarding products being used/specified on the job
- Keep updated contact lists for vendor partners
- Collaborate with other Mechanical Pricing Team Members to manage team workload
- Revise project quotes as needed
- Provide direct support to outside sales teams
- Consult with contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to resolve issues
- Build solid relationships with coworkers, contractors, and suppliers based on trust and respect
- Produce consistent, error-free work based on defined regulations and standards using a steady, methodical work style
- Decision-making that is based on defined procedures, job scope, and supported by Management
- Maintain any supporting documents related to the Mechanical Pricing Team Process
Job Requirements:
- 2-year technical school or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with Mechanical Insulation distribution a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organization
- Knowledge of construction materials directly related to mechanical systems
