Job Purpose
To enhance customer experience and operational efficiency by applying top-notch organizational and problem-solving skills to project schedule development and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Monitor project progress, analyze trends, and identify critical-path bottlenecks
- Identify risks, communicate them clearly to all stakeholders, and implement mitigation plans
- Prepare status presentations highlighting accomplishments, risks, and changes
- Generate custom reports (look-ahead, variance, progress, milestone) to facilitate discussions
- Support project managers and project-controls managers, including field coordination and sub-project management
- Track deliverables and monitor physical percent complete by installed quantities
- Optimize processes for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including document filing
- Foster ongoing learning by seeking functional knowledge and developing technical expertise
- Maintain professionalism and uphold the company’s core values
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and company objectives
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in project scheduling or a related project-controls role
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication across all organizational levels
- Proven ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of state/federal background check and drug screening
- Experience in cost planning and project-controls reporting interfaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- PMP® or similar project-management certification
- Previous exposure to power generation, oil, gas, or energy-sector construction projects
