Position Summary
The Regional Manager works with customers across a broad range of heavy industrial markets, including but not limited to dust control and mitigation, foundries, steel mills, glass manufacturing, paper mills, waste-to-energy facilities, coal-fired power plants, refractory producers, and other industrial process industries.
The Regional Manager serves as the primary customer contact throughout the sales process by identifying customer needs, recommending technical solutions, coordinating with engineering and internal departments, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Success in this position requires strong consultative selling skills, technical aptitude, business development experience, and the ability to independently manage a sales territory.
This position requires extensive travel (minimum 50%) and the ability to effectively communicate the capabilities and benefits of Mixer Systems' mixing and material handling solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Business Development & Territory Growth
- Meet or exceed assigned annual sales objectives.
- Develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Retain and ensure the satisfaction of existing customers.
- Manage sales expenses within established budget guidelines.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan.
- Research prospective customers, target markets, and industry opportunities to identify new business.
Territory Management & Sales Operations
- Manage all customer inquiries received by phone, email, and other communication channels in a professional and timely manner.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
- Manage the complete sales process from prospecting through project completion.
- Maintain accurate contacts, opportunities, lead conversions, and sales activities within Zoho CRM.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, technical documentation, and sales forecasts.
- Develop equipment quotations, conceptual layouts, sketches, and equipment configurations as required.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure successful project execution.
- Interface regularly with the Engineering Department to review proposals, quotations, and active customer orders.
- Assist customers in identifying equipment configurations and engineered solutions that best meet their operational needs.
Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Conduct customer visits, facility evaluations, and technical sales presentations.
- Develop strong customer relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
- Conduct on-site customer visits to evaluate applications, review jobsite conditions, and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer relationship development.
- Coordinate product demonstrations and technical discussions when appropriate.
- Represent the Company at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and association functions.
- Coordinate and conduct Lunch & Learn presentations for engineering firms, customers, and industry partners.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, replacement systems, aftermarket parts, and service.
Strategy & Communication
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Develop territory sales strategies and plans to achieve future sales growth.
- Identify future equipment opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with Marketing by providing customer insights, market trends, and ideas for blogs, promotional content, and industry messaging.
- Provide market feedback to Engineering and Leadership regarding customer needs and product improvements.
- Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with internal departments.
- Maintain productive working relationships with independent sales representatives, distributors, and strategic business partners while providing support as needed.
- Prepare territory forecasts, pipeline reports, and sales activity updates.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with additional technical, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of technical sales experience within industrial equipment, dust collection, air pollution control, material handling, process equipment, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Proven record of developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.
- Experience managing technical or engineered equipment sales.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills.
- Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Seven (7) or more years of related industry experience.
- Experience selling capital equipment or engineered industrial systems.
- Established relationships within industrial manufacturing markets.
- Experience with Zoho CRM or similar CRM software.
- Knowledge of industrial processes related to dust control and mitigation, foundries, steel production, glass manufacturing, paper mills, refractory production, waste-to-energy facilities, or similar heavy industrial industries is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting customers with bulk material handling, industrial mixing, conveying, batching, or custom process equipment is preferred.

Work Environment

- Work is performed in office settings, customer facilities, manufacturing environments, and trade show locations.
- Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing environments requiring adherence to established safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Standard workdays are typically 8-10 hours, with additional hours as business needs require.
