Description
  • Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines using correct programs, gases, cutting tips, and consumables.
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts, cranes, or manual handling.
  • Monitor cutting operations to ensure cut quality, kerf accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning torch components and replacing consumables.
  • Program and adjust nesting files and load DXF files as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and adjust settings such as travel speed, gas pressure, torch height, and kerf compensation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience operating plasma tables in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of plasma cutting processes, CNC controls, and nesting programs.
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as grinders, impact wrenches, and sanders.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity.
