Description

The Conservatory at Stephens College seeks enthusiastic, responsible, and articulate Federal Work Study eligible students to serve as Tour Ambassadors. In this role, students will represent the Conservatory to prospective students and their families by providing engaging, informative, and personalized tours of performance and classroom spaces, and by sharing their own experiences as current students. Tour Ambassadors play a key role in recruitment and public relations efforts for the program.


Learning Opportunities:

This position provides experience in public speaking, marketing, customer service, and recruitment—skills that are valuable in arts administration, education, and performance industries.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-person campus and Conservatory-specific tours for prospective students, families, and visitors
  • Provide accurate and engaging information about the Conservatory’s programs, facilities, performance opportunities, and student life
  • Share personal experiences and answer questions in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assist with admissions and recruitment events such as preview and accepted student days, open houses, and virtual Q&A sessions
  • Help prepare informational materials or welcome packets as needed
  • Support administrative tasks related to prospective student outreach and events
  • Represent the values and mission of the Conservatory.

Preferred Skills:

  • Available for flexible scheduling
  • Familiarity with the college admissions process
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable speaking publicly and interacting with individuals and groups
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required

Availability:

  • Applicants must be available a minimum of two days per week in any of the following time slots: 10am to 12pm | 1pm to 3pm | 3pm to 5pm
  • This position reports to Kristy Simpson, Director of Recruitment and Retention.
Salary Description
$15.00/hour
