About the Position
The NYC Carpenters Training Center is one of the premier apprenticeship and workforce development programs in the country, serving apprentices, journeypersons, instructors, and industry partners throughout New York City.
The Technology and Digital Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and advancing the Training Center's technology, communications, data, and digital learning initiatives. This position is responsible for managing websites and digital platforms, supporting technology-enabled business processes, enhancing communications, developing reports and analytics, and improving the overall experience for students, instructors, and staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with Training Center leadership, administrative departments, and technology partners to implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, communication, and educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Platforms and Website Management
- Manage and maintain the Training Center website and related digital platforms.
- Monitor website performance, user activity, and online registration processes.
- Maintain website content and ensure information remains accurate and current.
- Analyze website traffic and user engagement to improve the user experience.
Communications & Member Engagement
- Manage digital communications including email, text messaging, website updates, and social media.
- Develop and schedule content across multiple communication channels.
- Monitor communication analytics and recommend improvements.
- Support outreach efforts to apprentices, journeypersons, instructors, staff, and industry partners.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain and improve data quality across multiple systems and platforms.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational decision-making.
- Create and analyze reports using Excel and other reporting tools.
- Assist with performance metrics and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking.
Technology Support and Training
- Serve as a technology resource for Training Center staff and students.
- Provide training and support for administrative and educational technology systems.
- Assist users with website access, digital records, communications platforms, and related technologies.
- Support system administration and user access management for Training Center applications.
Process Improvement and Special Projects
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology and automation.
- Coordinate technology projects with internal departments and external vendors.
- Assist with technology support for major events, programs, and special initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and user guides.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Communications, Business Administration, Educational Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of experience supporting technology, communications, operations, or digital platforms.
- Complete proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Experience with website content management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with CRM, learning management, or student information systems.
- Experience with social media management platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience in workforce development, education, training, labor-management, nonprofit, or membership organizations.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
The rate of pay offered will be based on relevant skills, education, experience, and qualifications. The NYCDCC Training Center offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health benefits, an employer-funded annuity contribution equal to 10% of compensation, paid time off, and professional-development support, including CEBS and continuing-education programs.
