 Join Our TeamArcturus Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Medical Assistant in our Quality Department to join our growing team. This unique role combines direct patient interaction with population health and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with senior patients, excels over the phone, and is passionate about helping patients stay engaged in their healthcare.As a member of our Quality Team, you will play a key role in supporting Medicare Wellness Visits, coordinating preventive care services, and assisting with quality measure outreach across all Arcturus Healthcare practices. You will collaborate closely with Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), pharmacists, and dietitians to improve patient outcomes and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care.Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits for our senior patient population.
  • Build positive relationships with patients through phone outreach, scheduling, and follow-up communication.
  • Contact patients regarding preventive care needs, chronic disease management, and quality measure gap closures.
  • Manage recall lists and conduct outreach campaigns to schedule needed appointments, screenings, and services.
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Update patient histories, demographic information, and quality measure documentation.
  • Assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for wellness visits as needed.
  • Educate patients regarding preventive health services and wellness recommendations.
  • Coordinate care activities across multiple Arcturus Healthcare practices.
  • Track and report quality metrics using EMR systems and Excel-based reporting tools.
  • Monitor and support quality improvement initiatives and value-based care programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational standards.

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a physician office, population health, quality department, or outpatient setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage patients by telephone.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and professionalism when working with older adults.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filtering, sorting, reporting, and data management.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems required
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
