Vertis Therapy is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at Bloom at Kessler, a welcoming assisted living and memory care community in Indianapolis, IN. This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with older adults and providing meaningful, individualized care.

In this role, you’ll help residents maintain their independence, safety, and ability to participate in everyday activities while working alongside a supportive care team. Vertis Therapy is a therapist-owned and therapist-operated company that provides ongoing training, clinical support, and a collaborative environment focused on quality, patient-centered care.

The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

Resident Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life. 

Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation. 

Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. 

Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings. 

Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility 

Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
