Join a Modern Print Operation That’s Redefining Packaging

We are actively filling 2nd shift and weekend shift openings, and give strong preference to candidates available for those schedules.

At Cursive, we help leading consumer brands bring their stories to life through high-quality labels and packaging. Using advanced automation and digital technology, we’ve reimagined how packaging is produced — faster, smarter, and more efficiently. We’re a growing, well-capitalized company with a lean team that values innovation, accountability, and craftsmanship.

If you enjoy working with cutting-edge equipment, take pride in quality, and want real growth opportunities, this role is for you.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a full-time Rewinder Operator to join our growing production team. In this role, you’ll operate and support rewinding equipment used to finish high-quality labels and shrink-sleeve packaging for leading brands in wine & spirits, health & beauty, and food & beverage.

You’ll play a critical role in the final stage of production — ensuring printed materials are slit, inspected, and rewound to customer specifications with precision and consistency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating machinery, and taking ownership of quality and output.

Location note: This position is based at our Mason, OH facility (8467 Duke Blvd) — about 7 miles from West Chester, roughly a 15-minute drive. One of the shortest commutes you'll find for skilled production work in Butler and Warren County. Free on-site parking.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Operate rewinding equipment to slit and rewind printed materials to customer specifications

• Set up jobs including core loading, blade positioning, tension settings, and web alignment

• Inspect printed material during rewinding to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues

• Ensure finished rolls meet specifications for width, diameter, and winding quality

• Manage roll changes, splicing, and material handling throughout production runs

• Package finished rolls and prepare them for the next stage or shipment

• Accurately record production data, including quantities, waste, and job performance

• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of rewinding equipment

• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and escalate when needed

• Communicate effectively with press operators, finishing teams, and supervisors

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and efficiency

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment or working in a production environment preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery

• Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and consistency

• Ability to identify defects in printed materials and take corrective action

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities during production runs

• Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Experience with slitting, rewinding, or converting equipment is a plus, but not required

• Willingness to learn and grow within a production environment

• Availability for 2nd shift or the weekend shift strongly preferred

Shift Schedule

We run four-day weekday shifts and a three-day weekend shift, so every schedule here comes with at least three consecutive days off:

• 1st shift — Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Three-day weekend, every week.

• 2nd shift — Tuesday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Three-day weekend, every week, plus a shift differential.

• Weekend shift — Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Full-time hours in three days, four days off every week, plus a shift differential.

A shift differential is paid for 2nd shift and the weekend shift. We are currently prioritizing candidates available for either of those schedules — please note your availability when you apply.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

• Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a moderately loud production environment

• Visual acuity to distinguish color, detail, and print quality

Why You’ll Love Working at Cursive

• Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, and 401k)

• Paid training and career development in a fast-growing company

• A clear path into advanced converting and finishing roles

• Work in a modern, clean, state-of-the-art production facility

• Lean team where your work makes a visible impact

• Opportunity to work with world-class consumer brands

• Performance-driven culture that recognizes skill, effort, and results

• Supportive team that values collaboration, learning, and innovation

The Kind of Person Who Succeeds Here

We’re looking for team members who enjoy staying active, working with their hands, and learning how advanced manufacturing equipment operates. People who are naturally curious about machines and take pride in doing quality work tend to grow quickly into advanced converting and finishing roles at Cursive.
