Salary for this position is $26.50 / Hour.

DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES


STAFF MANAGEMENT:

  • Supervises the following positions: 
    • Housekeeping
    • Laundry
  • Improving staff development through recommendations for training seminars and education 
  • Complete performance evaluations as needed for all direct reports 
  • Responsible for scheduling all staff, including approval of time off/vacation requests  
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and orientated to job responsibilities as well as policies and procedures 
  • Maintain records of Verbal Coaching, Corrective Action Plans, and Performance Improvement Plans 

Job Functions

  • Inspect client rooms, offices, public areas, and facilities for cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Laundry supervision and linen ordering.
  • Train new employees on cleaning procedures and safety practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Handle client/staff complaints related to housekeeping services.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and staff performance.
  • Assign tasks and monitor job efficiency
  • Facilitate and document monthly departmental meetings
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS


Experience:

  • 1-3 years of housekeeping experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, or commercial cleaning operations is an advantage.

Education:

  • Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.
  • Hospitality, hotel management, or related coursework preferred.
  • Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 20% of the time. They will also need to move around company property in order to perform the required tasks. The employee must be capable of effectively operating, preparing, inspecting, and using company equipment. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain and move necessary items while at work. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds (individually) for various reasons. Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
