Help Shape What's Next at Arbiter

We're looking for a designer who doesn't wait for requirements.

Someone who uncovers problems before they reach the roadmap.

Someone who talks to customers, identifies opportunities, uses AI as a force multiplier, and helps teams make better product decisions.

At Arbiter, UX is moving beyond screens and workflows. We are building an AI-enabled product organization where research, discovery, design, and decision-making happen faster and with greater customer insight than ever before.

If you're excited about helping define what we build, not just how it looks, we'd love to talk.

About Arbiter

Arbiter serves schools, athletic programs, organizations, students, parents, officials, and fans through a growing portfolio of connected products.

We're focused on building products through collaboration, customer understanding, and continuous learning. AI has become an important part of how we work, helping us accelerate research, design exploration, prototyping, validation, and decision-making.

What You'll Do

Find the Right Problems to Solve

  • Talk with customers.
  • Challenge assumptions.
  • Identify friction, unmet needs, and opportunities.
  • Bring evidence and insight to product decisions.
  • Use customer feedback, research, behavioral data, and AI-assisted insight generation to uncover opportunities and inform priorities.

Drive Product Outcomes

  • Partner with Product and Engineering from discovery through delivery.
  • Influence roadmap direction through customer understanding.
  • Turn complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
  • Help teams move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Own UX efforts for one or more product areas and help shape what gets built and why.

Use AI as a Force Multiplier

  • Leverage AI to accelerate research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and validation.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to identify patterns, uncover insights, and improve decision-making.
  • Experiment with emerging AI capabilities and help the organization adopt what works.
  • Continuously improve how Product, UX, and Engineering work together.

Raise the Bar

  • Lead by example.
  • Elevate design quality across the platform.
  • Strengthen design systems, patterns, accessibility, and best practices.
  • Mentor others and help grow the UX discipline.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years designing complex software products.
  • Experience designing enterprise, B2B SaaS, workflow-heavy, or platform products.
  • Strong discovery, research, and problem-framing skills.
  • Experience influencing product direction, not just design execution.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create clarity.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated use of AI to improve discovery, insight generation, design exploration, validation, or product decision-making.
  • Experience turning customer insights and qualitative and quantitative evidence into action.
  • Ability to independently own work from problem definition through delivery and measurement.
  • Passion for understanding customers and solving meaningful problems.
  • Experience in athletics (education, event management, coaching, officiating, or related domains) is strongly preferred.

Success Looks Like

  • Meaningful customer problems are identified earlier.
  • Teams make better product decisions because of your insight.
  • Discovery and validation happen faster through effective use of research, data, and AI.
  • Complex workflows become clearer and easier to use.
  • Product quality and consistency improve.
  • Your work helps strengthen UX as a competitive advantage for Arbiter.
  • Other team members grow through your leadership, collaboration, and examples.

Why Join Arbiter?

This is an opportunity to help shape both our products and the future of UX within the organization.

You'll join a team that is actively investing in:

  • Customer-centered decision making
  • Continuous learning and validation
  • AI-enabled design and research workflows
  • Design systems and scalable experience patterns
  • Strong partnerships between Product, UX, and Engineering
  • The evolution of UX from feature delivery toward opportunity discovery and experience strategy

At Arbiter, we're looking for Senior UX Designers who identify opportunities, not just execute requirements. If you're excited about using customer insights, research, data, and AI to help teams solve the right problems and create meaningful outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
