Job Summary

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in non-production areas of the facility, including break rooms, offices, and restrooms. This role supports overall workplace safety, employee well-being, and compliance with company cleanliness standards.


Key Responsibilities

· Clean and sanitize break rooms, including tables, countertops, sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and vending areas

· Maintain cleanliness of office spaces, including desks (as permitted), floors, conference rooms, and common areas

· Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures

· Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and sanitizing products

· Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly

· Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in assigned areas

· Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns (leaks, damage, hazards, etc.)

· Follow all company safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines

· Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies

· Support special cleaning projects as needed (deep cleaning, audits, inspections)

Requirements

 

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED preferred

· Prior custodial, janitorial, or sanitation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards

· Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety practices

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–40 lbs regularly

· Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift

· Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
