What We're Looking For
Looking for a flexible, seasonal job with an energetic team and a great game-day atmosphere?
Woodstock's Pizza is hiring Part-Time Seasonal Event Staff to support our food and beverage operations at UC Davis football games.
Our football operation includes several vending stations and a team of approximately 30 employees working together to serve thousands of Aggie fans. Event Staff are assigned specific roles that help each station provide fast, friendly, and organized service.

What You'll Do
Seasonal Event Staff supports Woodstock's vending stations during UC Davis football games.
You'll work under the direction of an Event Captain and receive a specific assignment based on the needs of your station.
You do not need previous restaurant or event experience. We'll provide training on your assigned responsibilities, service expectations, and event procedures.
The most important things are that you:
- Arrive on time.
- Listen and communicate.
- Work with urgency.
- Support your teammates.
- Treat guests with friendliness and respect.
Game-Day Roles
Depending on your experience, age, training, and the needs of the event, you may be assigned to one or more of the following positions.
Cashier
- Greet guests and take orders.
- Operate the Square POS system.
- Process card and cash payments accurately.
- Clearly communicate orders to the fulfillment team.
- Keep the line moving without making guests feel rushed.
- Thank every guest.
Order Fulfillment
- Listen carefully to orders called by the cashier.
- Quickly gather the correct pizza, beer, or other products.
- Confirm that orders are accurate before handing them to the guest.
- Keep products organized and ready during high-volume periods.
- Communicate low inventory to the Event Captain.
This position allows the cashier to stay focused on the guest and keep the line moving.
Pizza Service
- Organize and serve pizza according to event procedures.
- Maintain Woodstock's food quality and presentation standards.
- Keep the serving area clean and stocked.
- Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs.
- Move quickly while maintaining order accuracy.
Beer Pouring
- Pour beer according to established serving and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area.
- Communicate product needs and inventory levels.
- Follow all alcohol-service procedures and instructions.
Beer-service assignments are limited to employees who meet all age, training, and legal requirements.
Wristbanding and Guest Verification
- Follow event procedures for checking identification and applying wristbands.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests.
- Help keep the entrance to the beer-service area organized.
- Refer questions or concerns to the Event Captain.
Restocking and Station Support
- Move pizza, beverages, ice, supplies, and other products where needed.
- Help prevent stations from running out of essential items.
- Support setup, cleaning, and teardown.
- Step into other assigned roles when directed by the Event Captain.
- Help solve bottlenecks by going where support is needed most.
What a Typical Football Shift Looks Like
Football events are generally approximately 10-hour shifts.
A typical shift may include:
- Pre-event check-in and role assignment
- Station setup
- Product and supply organization
- Guest service before and during the game
- Restocking and cleaning throughout the event
- Station breakdown
- Equipment and product organization
- Final cleanup
You should be prepared to remain active and on your feet for most of the shift.

Successful Event Staff:
- Arrive on time and ready to work.
- Follow instructions from their Event Captain.
- Communicate clearly with teammates.
- Work with urgency during busy periods.
- Stay productive during slower periods.
- Provide friendly and respectful service.
- Handle food, beverages, money, and equipment responsibly.
- Keep their station clean and organized.
- Ask questions when something is unclear.
- Remain flexible when event needs change.

Previous food service, cashier, concessions, or event experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule and Availability
This is a part-time, seasonal position focused primarily on UC Davis home football games.
- Football shifts are approximately 10 hours
- Most games take place on Saturdays
- Some events may occur during evenings or other scheduled times
- Availability for the majority of the football season is strongly preferred
- Exact schedules and reporting times will be communicated in advance
Hours are based on the UC Davis football schedule and are not guaranteed outside the season.
