SUMMARY
The Thrift Store Worker reports to the Thrift Store Manager and is responsible for providing general support related to the daily operations of the parish thrift store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Promotes the vision and mission of the Thrift Store to customers and volunteers.
- Greets customers and assists with merchandise selection and questions.
- Processes cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Assists with stocking shelves, organizing donations, and maintaining inventory.
- Helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
- Assists with sorting, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
- Supports volunteers and assists with daily store operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

CATHOLIC FAITH
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic mathematical skills required.

- Basic cash handling and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in a retail thrift store environment. This role requires frequent interaction with customers, volunteers, and donors in a fast-paced setting. The employee may be required to work evenings, weekends, and special sales events as needed. Work may involve exposure to dust, donated goods, varying temperatures in storage areas, and frequent movement throughout the store.
PHYSICAL and SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, grasp, and lift items throughout the workday. Requires frequent movement of merchandise, stocking shelves, organizing donations, and maintaining store areas. Must be able to operate store equipment and safely move or handle merchandise generally weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form and use basic office and point-of-sale equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
