Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is hiring a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associate to help receive, organize, fulfill, and move food and other essential products through our Appleton distribution center.
In this role, you will support daily warehouse operations by fulfilling orders, receiving products, maintaining accurate inventory, operating material-handling equipment, and helping keep our warehouse safe, clean, and organized.

What You Will Do
- Fulfill and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and checking in incoming products.
- Weigh, count, scan, label, and track products to help maintain accurate inventory.
- Move products to and from receiving, storage, staging, cooler, freezer, and distribution areas.
- Ensure products are properly scanned, labeled, stored, and placed in the correct warehouse locations.
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, food safety, or suitability concerns and communicate issues through the appropriate channels.
- Sort and organize products on racks, shelves, pallets, and other designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment after completing required training and certification.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse, cooler, freezer, and work areas.
- Monitor and support proper storage conditions for food products, including refrigerated and frozen products.
- Follow warehouse safety, food safety, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with employees, volunteers, and other teams to support daily operations.
- Assist with other warehouse and facility-related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, reach, kneel, squat, and perform other physical activities associated with warehouse work.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments, including temperatures as low as approximately -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, teamwork, and quality.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification within two weeks of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months or more of warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, grocery, manufacturing, or similar experience.
- Previous forklift, pallet jack, or material-handling equipment experience.
- Experience with inventory systems, scanners, order fulfillment, or shipping and receiving.
Physical and Working Conditions
This is an active warehouse and material-handling position. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, reach, kneel, squat, sit, and use their hands to handle equipment and products.
The employee must be able to:
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Move products throughout warehouse and storage areas
- Safely operate material-handling equipment after completing required training
- Work in warehouse, refrigerated, and freezer environments ranging from approximately -10 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Work in environments with moderate to high noise levels
- Wear close-toed shoes and appropriate protective or cold-weather clothing
