As a member of the admissions team, the Admissions In-house Counselor and Visit Coordinator provides admission counseling and enrollment services support. The position oversees the scheduling and execution of group visits, and conducts individual student interviews/meetings, through which s/he serves as a permanent, in-house point of contact for visiting prospective students and families, and guides students through the admissions process. This role participates in the annual review of applications for admission and the awarding of scholarships. The role also provides shared administrative support for Admissions, Student Financial Services, and the Registrar by answering routine questions, triaging calls and messages, and ensuring inquiries reach the appropriate person for timely follow-up. This role is designed to strengthen the visitor experience, provide an enhanced level of admission counseling, and maintain responsive campus coverage throughout the admissions cycle. Limited recruitment travel, evening work, and weekend responsibilities may be required during peak periods.


The qualified candidate will coordinate and deliver individual and group campus visits, including scheduling, personalized itineraries, faculty and staff appointments, student ambassador coverage, visitor communications, welcoming guests, and post-visit follow up. Will serve as an in-house admission counselor by guiding prospective students and families through the admissions process, responding to questions, conducting presentations and interviews, supporting application completion, and completing assigned outreach and conversion activities. 


Bachelor’s Degree is required. Must have experience in customer service, experience in admissions, enrollemnt services, higher education, student services, or a related field preferred. 


Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Ability to think critically and exercise judgment in the review of student applications for admission and scholarship. Enthusiastic, positive, student-centered mindset with the ability to create a welcoming experience for students and families. Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain detailed records, exercise sound judgment, and coordinate work across several offices. Ability to explain routine College processes clearly and recognize when a question must be referred to other College offices.


Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Experience with, or ability to learn, Slate CRM and other College systems used by Admissions, Student Financial Services, and the Registrar.

Salary Description
$26.60 - $27.00 an hour
