JOB SUMMARY:
Provides high-level, attentive, and efficient customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a consistently professional demeanor. Assists guests with menu selections through extensive knowledge of both food and beverage offerings. Demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, remaining composed, professional, and guest-focused during high-volume service periods. Assignments will be determined by the host’s direct
supervisor and may vary from event to event.
This is a seasonal full-time position that will work through the 2026 - 2027 event season for the Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth and Delta Center. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO APPLY, $23 PER HOUR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Please note: The Server role includes serving food, beverages, and alcohol.
- Provide warm, professional, and discreet guest service from arrival through departure.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Assist guests with beverage selection, including pairing recommendations when appropriate.
- Accurately take and input orders using the Toast POS system.
- Deliver food and beverage items with proper fine dining etiquette and in a timely manner.
- Cross-train with bartenders to provide support and maintain efficient bar operations when needed.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen staff, expeditors, bartenders, and support team members to ensure seamless service flow.
- Complete side work including polishing glassware and silverware and stocking prep and service areas.
- Perform closing duties such as cleaning, restocking, and resetting tables to prepare for the next service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and major holidays.
- Required to work all 84 Utah Jazz/Utah Mammoth home games, including all playoff games, as well as additional catered functions and special events scheduled outside of game days.
- Minimum 3 years fine dining/event experience.
- Current food handlers permit and alcohol certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 30 lbs. overhead.
