High PSI is looking for an organized, proactive, and customer-focused Service Coordinator / Dispatcher to help run the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of our field service technicians.
This is more than a traditional dispatch position. We need someone who can take ownership of the service schedule, communicate effectively with customers and technicians, adjust quickly when priorities change, and help make our service department more efficient.
If you're the type of person who can manage a busy schedule, solve problems on the fly, keep customers informed, and make sure technicians have what they need to succeed, we'd like to talk with you.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the daily and upcoming schedules for field and shop service technicians
- Schedule and dispatch service calls based on urgency, location, technician availability, and technician skill set
- Communicate with customers regarding service needs, scheduling, arrival expectations, and changes
- Respond quickly when emergency service calls, delays, cancellations, or other scheduling issues arise
- Maintain communication with technicians throughout the day and adjust schedules as necessary
- Gather accurate information from customers so technicians arrive prepared for the job
- Review upcoming work and proactively identify scheduling conflicts or potential problems
- Coordinate with technicians, customers, parts, sales, and other team members as needed
- Follow up on open service calls and help ensure jobs are completed and properly documented
- Help reduce unnecessary travel, scheduling gaps, return trips, and technician downtime
- Assist with service-related administrative tasks as needed
- Help develop and improve scheduling and dispatch processes as the company grows
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in dispatching, service coordination, customer service, field service, or service management preferred
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable making decisions and changing plans when circumstances require it
- Strong communication skills with both customers and field technicians
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Comfortable learning technical terminology and understanding the basic nature of service problems
- Able to use scheduling, work-order, and other computer-based systems
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Experience in industrial equipment, compressed air, mechanical service, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, automotive, heavy equipment, or another field-service environment is a plus.
The Right Person
The right person for this role doesn't simply fill openings on a calendar.
You'll think ahead, understand priorities, match the right technician to the right job, communicate changes before they become problems, and continually look for ways to make the service operation run better.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, stays calm when the day changes unexpectedly, and enjoys solving the daily puzzle of keeping customers satisfied and technicians productive.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Based on experience: $25/hr to $30/hr
High PSI is an equal opportunity employer.
