Description

Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are cultivating a WARP Multidisciplinary Clinic and looking to staff Physical Therapists to provide their services to veterans in our Rockville, MD headquarters. The Physical Therapist is expected to perform the following:  

 

  • Complete comprehensive examinations addressing strength, range of motion, balance, gait, pain, endurance, transfers and functional mobility.
  • Establish measurable, patient-centered plans of care.
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance treatment, manual interventions and functional-mobility training.
  • Assess fall risk and implement fall-prevention interventions.
  • Recommend walkers, wheelchairs, mobility devices and home-safety modifications.
  • Participate in prosthetic and orthotic evaluation, fitting, training and follow-up.
  • Provide pre-prosthetic conditioning and post-prosthetic gait training.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safe transfers and injury prevention.
  • Coordinate treatment with OT, SLP, kinesiotherapy, recreation therapy, ABA and behavioral-health personnel.
  • Supervise physical therapist assistants and students where authorized.
  • Document medical necessity, progress and discharge outcomes.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in medical status during treatment.



Requirements

 Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical-therapy program.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy or other degree meeting current licensure standards.
  • Active, unrestricted Maryland physical-therapist license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to perform physical assistance, transfers and equipment setup safely.

Maryland licenses and regulates physical therapists through the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.


Preferred qualifications

  • Two years of outpatient rehabilitation experience.
  • Experience with stroke, TBI, limb loss, chronic pain, geriatrics, pediatrics or adaptive sports.
  • Vestibular, neurological, pelvic-health or orthopedic specialty training.
  • Experience treating Veterans or patients with complex psychosocial needs.

  • Visit utilization and plan-of-care completion.
  • Documentation timeliness and authorization compliance.
  • Patient experience and successful community transition.
Salary Description
$42.65/hr to $59/hr
