The Parts Runner plays a vital role in supporting fleet maintenance operations by ensuring the timely pickup, transport, and delivery of parts, tools, and supplies to and from the parts room, shop floor, and outside vendors. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying received shipments against purchase orders, and ensuring parts are safely stored or directly handed off to technicians to minimize downtime.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with shop personnel, service writers, internal teams, customers, and external vendors. The ideal candidate maintains professional relationships, promptly communicates order statuses or delivery delays, and works proactively to keep shop operations running efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have basic knowledge of truck and trailer parts
- 1–2 years of experience in parts management, inventory control, or related field preferred.
- Experience in trucking, automotive, or mechanical environments preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
Working Conditions
This position operates in both indoor office and active heavy-duty shop environments. Daily tasks involve frequent travel, hands-on work in workshop areas, and ongoing interaction with external parts vendors and suppliers.
Flexibility and availability outside of standard business hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required to support urgent maintenance needs, emergency repairs, and overall operational continuity.
