Title: Junior Account Manager
We are seeking a Junior Account Manager (JAM) supports Account Executives in the management, retention, and growth of commercial insurance accounts. This role independently services an assigned book of smaller business while developing advanced skills in client relationship management, coverage analysis, marketing, and renewal strategy. The JAM serves as a technical resource to the support team and is expected to progress toward full Account Manager responsibilities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Independently service an assigned book of small commercial accounts
- Build and maintain client, carrier, and underwriter relationships
- Support renewal planning, retention efforts, and account growth initiatives
- Review policies, endorsements, and coverage recommendations for accuracy
- Process agency-billed invoicing and related account transactions
- Respond to client requests and provide proactive service
- Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and coverage questions
- Support assigned larger accounts through marketing efforts, submissions, proposal preparation, and day-to-day servicing activities
- Prepare carrier submissions, supplemental applications, and new business documentation
- Assist with quote comparison, coverage analysis, and renewal preparations
- Support new business efforts through AMS account setup and online rating platforms
- Assist Account Managers and Account Executives with proposals, renewals, submissions, solicitations, and marketing efforts. Mentor and assist in the development of CSR I and CSR II team members
- Support the service team with complex account servicing activities and coverage-related questions
- Assist with quality control efforts and promote adherence to department service standards
- Help balance team workload by assisting with priority, escalated, or time-sensitive requests
- Occasional travel may be required, including an expectation of quarterly visits to the company headquarters in Calabasas, California.

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the willingness to learn and use all computer programs as required.
- Maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion; consistently adheres to all applicable privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of commercial insurance experience.
- Progress toward a professional insurance designation.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and account servicing.
Work Schedule & Environment
This is a full-time position, and hours of operation for the office are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.
Remote/Hybrid/In Office (dependent on location)
Compensation
Salary Range: $61,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year dependent on experience
