We are looking for an experienced, motivated team player and result-driven Fiberglass Technician to join our team. This role ensures inspections, fabricates, repairs, and modifies fiberglass and composite components repairs while meeting strict FAA regulations and airline customer specifications for flight safety. Essential Duties: 

  • Perform MRO Overhauls: Execute complex composite repairs, wet layups and component overhauls.
  • Troubleshoot & Inspect: Assess inbound parts for delamination, skin damage, core crushed areas and lightning strikes.
  • Follow Technical Data: Interpret aircraft Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and engineering orders.
  • Execute Hot Bond Repairs: Set up and operate digital hot bonders, heat blankets and vacuum bagging systems.
  • Perform Core Repairs: Replace damaged honeycomb core materials using potting compounds or core plugs.
  • Meet Turnaround Times (TAT): Work efficiently to meet strict delivery deadlines for clients.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Complete sign-offs accurately.
Requirements

Experience, Skills and Qualification:  


Experience: 

  • Performs skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and modification to a variety of aircraft components in accordance with CMM regulations and standards. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines, manage a large volume of communication and be a team player.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities for moderately complex issues.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with ability to exercise informed risk taking in order to make judgment calls.


Skills: 

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in vacuum bagging, honeycomb core repairs, and hot-bond equipment operations.
  • Ability to prioritize and to work without close supervision.

  

 Qualification: 

  • Education equivalence or minimum 1–2 years of hands-on structural composite repair experience within an FAA Part 145 MRO station.
  • FAA Airframe (A) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate is highly preferred.
